yippeeee...

There wasn't really that much going on the past weeks. Just the chorale practice after class (which by the way, we made it to finals. yipeeee.), the homeworks and the everyday torture of waking up early for school.

I finished the book TWILIGHT by Stephanie Meyer just in two days since I bought it, and now I'm looking forward on reading it's sequel which my sister promised to buy this weekend. And ofcoarse, we would definitely watch the movie ofcoarse. The book was really good nakaka-kilig would be the right term for it, love will definitely come rushing through your blood while reading, I remember how I suddenly let out a huge smile, and laughter while I was reading it. lol.

Too bad our trip to Pampanga to go bird watching is not gonna happen (i was really looking forward to it, but it's ok). I think i'll just come with our class field trip on that day, will be heading for Paete, Laguna to do some woodcarvings.

life from a stranger..

I decided to stop over the park before I headed home one afternoon. The sun wasn't as hot as it should be and the wind kept me cool. It was a great day to think, unlike on weekends the park was quiet. Not a single child insight, no laughter, just the rustling of the trees and the sounds of the cars passing by. I finally stopped and sat at one of the swings.

I started to swing, the soft wind in my hair and that cold feeling in my skin. I looked up, the sun was covered with clouds now and closed my eyes as a swing myself further and harder against the rushing wind. Stopped. I didn't notice that there was already a man on the swing next to me, who gave me a half-smile when he caught me looking. I smiled back. He was maybe on his early 30s (i didn't asked him) tall, well built and I could still definitely smell a bit of his cologne. I was about to get off and head home when he asked me if he could borrow just a few minutes from me. Since I have nowhere else to go and nothing to do I said yes. (with the thought that I have pepper spray on my bag just incase. lol)

He asked me things such as "Why are you here, alone?", "Who are you thinking of right now? Now don't lie cause I see it in your eyes" and a lot more things I forgot. Well I answered all his questions, and also asked him almost the same ones. He didn't respond. Attempting to leave on the second time, again he stopped me and he finally told a story....

"I have come here to the Philippines to find my true love. And I did, and she was the most beautiful thing that my eyes had layed upon on this earth. I loved her so dearly and she loved me too. We became the best of friends. Yes, we have our struggles but we never gave up. I was loyal, she was too. Oh how much I miss her......"

.... I wish I could share you every detail of his life, as he shared it with mine. How he found happiness in the world, taking those leap of faith, beliving in life and love; and encircling himself by the wonderful blessings of God. And just before we parted ways, he said..

"There is happiness in the world, despite of all the cruel things that is happening. You might be just seeing your life at the wrong way. If you seek for love, I assure you there is such a thing. He maybe far, I can tell by the way you look at the horizon. But if the time is right you would be together. There is such thing as magic and it's love my dear. It's the power of God and it's in each one of us. We are the magic, we are life, we are love. Thank you for talking with me today, I enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me, I learned a lot. Hoping someday I could talk with you again, probably I could introduce you with my wife and kids. And maybe just maybe you wouldn't be alone anymore."

..I thanked him too, and waved goodbye.

Learning isn't just done on the four corners of a school or a university. Learning doesn't stop when you graduate. You never stop learning. Yes, you never stop learning.
